Finca Tasta is a family owned operated farm in the community of Challhuamayo. Edith and Ivan are brother-sister team that produce coffee in the Peru’s “Central Forest” region. The farm was their late mother’s project.
Finca Tasta is a 56-acre estate with 19 acres cultivated with coffee and 22 acres are natural preserved forest. Their commitment to environmental protection runs so deep that they leave 9 of their 22 non-coffee hectares of land completely wild to protect native animals like deer, monkeys, and native birds. Edith and her brother Ivan are leading by example, focusing on sustainability and independence by diversifying crops beyond just coffee to include food for themselves and their workers.
